Tired of running or troubleshooting industrial sensors, infrared lasers, or single-mode fiber-optic connections and not being certain light is present, or connected in the right polarity? "Guess and Check, go to the computer, check equipment -- come back, Plug and Pray, repeat" -- sound familiar, but you don't have the budget to carry a power meter with you? Or just want something more convenient?
This heavy-duty laminated card contains an indicator swatch for identifying the presence of non-visible infrared light (but it works with 850nm multimode wavelengths as well). Punched to conveniently keep it on your lanyard with facility/site access badges, you can always keep the card with you to avoid needing to return to your truck or other locations for different equipment.
Peak excitation is 800 to 1310nm, however it provides sufficient indication for 850nm to 1500nm.
The indicator swatch shows orange (585nm) light where the infrared light makes contact.
